| Dance - Teaching Beyond the Steps, Introduction to Ballet is designed to introduce Ballet to dancers 8 and older who have not had prior ballet training. Each lesson is designed to fill a one hour class and incorporate barre, center and across the floor material. The last third of the syllabus also includes a choreographed routine to be done as part of the class exercises and adaptable for performance.
There are 15 lessons in the Introduction to Ballet. Each lesson is designed to be followed for at least 2 classes. Each lesson plan and associated exercises build on the previous lesson's exercises. There are over 175 progressive exercises that cover the material presented in the lesson plans. A 69 page support manual is also included. This manual contains all of the class plans and background / supporting material for every lesson.
